What is Oxy?
Oxy is a design studio in Phoenix. We work with founders and ambitious teams at high-stakes moments: a launch, a rebrand, a product that has outgrown its first version. Our job is to uncover what makes you different and give it a form your audience responds to.
Strategy, brand, websites, product design and motion, handled by one senior team that stays on the project from the first call to launch.
What do you believe?
Good design solves a real problem and drives toward an outcome larger than the artifact. A prettier version of what you already have is not the goal.
Clear language leads to clear design, so we write the brief in words before anyone opens a design tool. And great work needs the right environment: purpose, precision and no ego in the room.
Who do you work with?
Mostly venture-backed founders and growth-stage teams in fintech, AI, SaaS and consumer, usually somewhere between seed and Series B. We also work with a handful of larger companies that want a smaller, faster team than their agency of record.
Alongside clients, we work with GTM advisors, development partners and in-house teams that need design capacity they can trust.
How do you work?
Four principles run every project:
- Find what's true. Think through the problem fully before designing the solution.
- Own the outcome. Keep commitments, raise issues early and see the work through.
- Push it further. Go past client approval and make work that meets our own standard.
- Build to last. Pair creative ambition with sound process, healthy work and real business outcomes.
In practice that means senior people in every meeting, and nothing reaches you until a second designer has tried to break it first.
When should we call you?
Usually one of three moments. You just raised and the brand no longer matches the ambition. The product works but the website or onboarding isn't converting. Or you have a launch date and not enough hands.
If the problem sounds like "it looks fine but it isn't working," that's us.
What can Oxy help with?
- Brand. Positioning, messaging, identity systems and guidelines.
- Websites. Marketing sites designed and built in Webflow, with design systems you can run yourself.
- Product design. UX, UI, prototypes and design systems ready for engineering.
- Motion. Animation and video for brand, product and launch.
- Launch and marketing assets. Decks, campaigns, collateral and the pieces a launch actually needs.
- Retainers. Steady senior design capacity for teams that ship every week.
What do you not do?
- Go-to-market strategy on its own. When positioning or the sales motion is the real problem, we bring in Abstract Group, our GTM advisory partner, and design around their answer.
- Paid media management. We'll make the creative and hand it to whoever runs your spend.
- Software engineering beyond the website. We design the product and work with your engineers or a development partner we trust.
- Decoration. If the brief is "make it prettier" with no goal behind it, we'll push back before we take the work.
What does working together look like?
Every engagement moves through the same four phases, scoped to the problem:
- Discover. We listen, question the brief and find the real need behind the ask. Interviews, audits and the data you already have.
- Define. What we learn becomes clear language: goals, positioning and a focused plan you sign off on before design starts.
- Design. We explore widely, then shape the strongest direction into the finished experience, with live reviews along the way.
- Deploy. Build, test and refine until it's live and measurable, then hand over everything you need to run it.
Most brand and website projects run 8 to 12 weeks. Product work is usually a retainer, because products don't stop shipping.
How much does it cost?
Projects are a fixed fee, scoped to the problem and agreed before work starts. No hourly meters, no surprise invoices. Retainers are a flat monthly fee for a set amount of senior time.
Founders usually compare it to the cost of one senior design hire. The difference is you get a full team on day one and no ramp.
What do we get at the end?
It depends on the engagement, but typically some combination of: a positioning line and messaging, a complete identity system with guidelines, a launched Webflow site your team can edit, product designs and prototypes ready for engineering, and the source files for all of it.
No black boxes. Nothing you have to come back to us to change.
Do you take equity?
No. We get paid for the work. Equity belongs to the people building the company every day and the investors backing them.
Where are you?
Phoenix, Arizona. Most of our clients aren't, and that has never been a problem. We work in your time zone during overlap hours, and we'll get on a plane when being in the room matters.
How do we start?
Tell us what you're trying to change and when it has to be done. We reply within a business day with a point of view and an honest read on whether we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
