School districts & teachers finally say goodbye to hard copy receipts and reimbursement requests.
ClassWallet is transforming the way teachers manage classroom expenses in school districts across the nation. The platform streamlines expense reimbursement processing through a wizard interface, saving districts up to 15 minutes per transaction. ClassWallet was referred to us just after they had done a beta launch with their MVP platform. Teachers were struggling with the interface to submit reimbursements and the visual design was lacking heavily. Over the course of several 1-week design sprints, among other tasks, we created a visual language and design system, and improved the reimbursement process by implementing a simple step-by-step wizard interaction. The platform continues to grow and gain adoption thanks, at least in part, to an improved interface design.
ClassWallet already had an MVP platform built when we began working with them. Our first task was to review the application to thoroughly understand the existing user experience.
With a clear vision of the current state of the application, we proposed alternate flows and interactions that would ideally resolve the workflow problems users were experiencing.
Myself and the ClassWallet team decided a question-answer wizard could be the best solution to resolve the current UX issues. we wireframed the new views and created a clickable prototype to test our assumptions.
Before moving to high-fidelity designs, we walked the clients through a visual language workshop. Here we presented a range of holistic design styles the application could take, as well as component-specific inspiration to draw out preferences, dos and don'ts.
Based on the client feedback, the team created a visual language and design system. This library would guide the final screen designs moving forward.
Thanks to the UI library, all screens and views now shared an unparalleled level of consistency and style. The makeup of each screen and it's components all stemmed from a single source of truth.
Each screen in the experience was carefully optimized for mobile and tablet devices. No screen was not adjusted to look and feel great on mobile devices.
ClassWallet is doing what no company has done for schools in the past - making paper receipts and reimbursement requests (and the stress that accompanies them) obsolete.
